The Gophers men's and women's swimming and diving teams both won a triple dual meet on Saturday.
The men beat host Purdue 188-164 and Wisconsin 227-125. The women defeated Purdue 226-127 and Wisconsin 202-149.
"From start to finish our team was energetic, competed well, supported each other, we are really happy with the spot we are in," said Kelly Kremer, head coach of both teams. "This was a really nice way to end our dual meet season."
The men's team went 8-1 in dual meets, the women's team 9-0.
Daryl Turner (44.08) and Derek Toomey took first and second in the men's 100-yard freestyle while CJ Smith (4:29.31) and Brandon Hatanaka did the same in the 500 freestyle.
Kyler Van Swol won the 100 butterfly (47.72).
In the women's competition, Hailey Szews took first in the 400 individual medley (4:22.82), Becca Weiland in the 100 butterfly (54.25), Kiera Janzen in the 500 freestyle (4:47.94), and Kierra Smith in 200 breaststroke (2:10.02).
U women lose in tennis
The Gophers women's team lost its first match of the season, falling 4-3 to Washington State in Missoula, Mont. Both teams are now 4-1.
