Cody Yohn, the only senior in the Gophers wrestling lineup, got a pin in 1:24 at 165 pounds on Sunday to lead his team to a 32-6 victory over Michigan State on Senior Day at the Sports Pavilion.
It was the last regular-season home match for the Gophers, now 12-2 overall, 6-1 in the Big Ten.
Five of Yohn's teammates won on major decisions (by eight points or more). They are Nick Daranes at 141 (18-6), Dylan Ness at 149 (17-6), Logan Storley at 184 (15-2), Kevin Steinhaus at 184 (15-2) and Scott Schiller at 197 (11-3).
Other winners for the U were Tony Nelson at heavyweight (4-0) and Corey Hodowanic at 125 (2-1).
