A 22-year-old man has been charged with fatally shooting a 19-year-old man in a north Minneapolis building over the weekend, and a second person has been charged with aiding the alleged killer.

Lonnell J. Powell, of Minneapolis, was charged Wednesday in Hennepin County District Court with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. Tionne G. Hunter, 30, also of Minneapolis, was charged with being an accomplice after the fact in the shooting of Shabar T. Hildebran of Minneapolis.

Hildebran was shot several times early Saturday in a multi-unit residential building on the 2500 block of Logan Avenue N. Another man, in his mid-20s, also was shot but survived.

The shootings occurred after Powell, Hunter and Joseph E. Obiazor came to the home and fought the two men whom Powell shot, according to the charges.

Three women who live at the home and a child were also there at the time of the shooting, the complaint said.
