The Twins can get to nine games under .500 with a win tonight. Keep in mind that there were once 20 games under.

Will be back with updates. It you're amphibious, come out to the park! (they hope the rain will stop by gametime, but we'll keep you updated).

UPDATES: Jim Thome, in Fort Myers as he recovers from back and quad issues, was sent home with the flu.

Righthander Kevin Slowey (abdominal strain) is going to throw a bullpen session on Sunday.

No no news on Denard Span (concussion) and Jason Kubel (foot sprain) as they continue to recover. Both are expected to be out at least another week.

Pat Neshek said yesterday was, `weird,' as he faced his former teammates. Neshek, who attended Pack Center High,. entered the game with two on and no outs in the sixth. He got two flyouts but walked Alexi Casilla to load the bases for Joe Mauer.

Neshek has worked on a change up, and threw a few to Mauer. Mauer lined out to left to end the inning.

``We had the scouting report before the game and they were pretty dead on with some of the guys," Neshek said, ``but it is never easy facing Joe up there. I was trying to read his mind like what he would call when he used to catch me."

Former Twin Orlando Hudson joined the Padres on Saturday and could be activated on Sunday. Hudson has missed 21 games with a left groin strain. It's his second stint on the DL this season.
