UPDATE: The Twins-Pirates game today has been cancelled because it IS NOT GOING TO STOP RAINING! There will be no makeup date.

The Twins are headed back to Fort Myers in hopes of having Milone throw in a simualted game

Weather for tomorrow's game against Yankees is iffy as well, manager Paul Molitor said.

Hello from Bradenton, where the rain is coming down and threatening to screw up pitchers' schedules.

Tommy Milone is set to pitch five innings or 75 pitches, whichever comes first. But Mother Nature is not faking the funk right now, so the Twins might have to make adjustments.

Pitching coach Neil Allen planned to meet with Milone this morning to figure out how he wants to play it. It's supposed to rain for an hour before a window opens up to play, but there's no guarantees that they can get a full game in because scattered showers will remain in the area.

Allen said he just needs three or four innings for Milone, and he can have him throw the rest in the bullpen. The relievers can be sent to minor league games tomorrow, but Allen wants to keep Milone on schedule as much as possible. The goal is to have the entire rotation ready to throw 100 pitches once the regular season begins.
