Twins call up Tyler Duffey from Rochester, continue series in New York
Duffey was strong in four games in Class AAA, striking out 14 in 11 innings.
The 27-year-old Duffey made four relief appearances in Rochester, striking out 14 and walking one in 11 innings. He gave up two runs, neither of them earned.
Busenitz appeared in four of the Twins' six games on the road trip, giving up only a solo home run over 3⅓ innings before Monday and earning a victory with two scoreless innings vs. Cleveland in Puerto Rico on Wednesday. But the Yankees scored on him twice Monday, inflating his ERA to 6.75 in four total innings, and the Twins chose to add a fresh arm in Duffey.
