Twin Cities yard sign suggestion: Embrace warm fronts!

"Wow, I've changed my vote, based on a yard side I drove by yesterday!" said no one ever.

Instead of candidate names, how about something useful? Learn Spanish, one yard sign phrase at a time. "El clima es fantastico." "Call Your Mother!" or "Love Your Neighbor!" would all be welcome reminders.

NOAA's new and improved GEFS (Global Ensemble Forecast System) was acting a little wonky, forecasting low 80s next weekend. But now the venerable ECMWF (European model) has come up with a similar solution. Rough translation: Another shorts-worthy warm front is shaping up by mid-October.

Expect more sunshine today and a shot at 70F Monday before we cool off later in the week. Waves of western warmth lap into Minnesota next weekend with 70s north and a chance of low 80s for southern Minnesota. I see a mild and dry bias into the third week of October, light showers Up North.

Meanwhile Tropical Storm Gamma will affect Mexico. A busy tropical season isn't over. Go away, 2020.
