When: Sunday. Marathon starts at 8 a.m.; 10-mile race begins shortly after 7 a.m.

Where: Races begin at the Metrodome and end at the State Capitol in St. Paul.

Runners: 11,277 in the marathon; 8,306 in the 10-mile race.

Marathon course record: Phil Coppess, 1985, 2 hours, 10 minutes, 5 seconds. Women's record is 2:26:51 by Zinaida Semenova (2001) and Irina Permitina (2004).

Defending champions: Jason Hartmann (2:12:16) and Ilsa Paulson (2:31:48).

Purse: $145,000. Winners get $25,000.

National titles: The men's and masters marathon and women's 10-mile race are USA championships.

Weather forecast: Partly cloudy, morning temperatures in the 40s.
