Q: Will Starz release new episodes of "Magic City"?

A: Yes, "Magic City" will be back for its second season this summer. At press time, no premiere date has been announced.

Computer product placement

Q: "Two and a Half Men" has always used Apple products and shown the company logo but now the logos are covered up with a circle. I was wondering what happened. I'm guessing it's a product placement money issue.

A: According to the folks who work on the show, the Apple logo has always been covered up, a typical practice for products that aren't placed for compensation. There was a mild kerfuffle a few years ago when other logos turned up on Ashton Kutcher's laptop on the show but even then the Apple logo was obscured.

Whose truck is it?

Q: I enjoy "Shipping Wars" on A&E. I recently noticed Jenn's vehicle had the same company name on it as Roy's: Arbie's Team Transport. Do they all work for Roy? If so, why bid against each other?

A: According to the show's publicist, Jenn worked with Roy at one point but she is primarily an independent shipper.

'V' wasn't victorious

Q: Do you know why "V" never returned to TV?

A: "V" was canceled because of low ratings.

One minute after the hour

Q: CBS and NBC have started to schedule shows at 9:01 or 10:01 that run into the next hour. Is this to increase DVR registers of shows that follow popular shows to up their viewing?

A: This practice actually started about a decade ago and it was indeed done to benefit a network's ratings and reduce the risk that viewers might switch channels between programs. DVRs are new to the equation since the practice began.
