In the beginning

"The American Bible Challenge" kicks off its third season with a bunch of new games, including one in which contestants have to guess whether passages are from the Good Book or Star Trek's Klingon language. Among the contestants: motorcycle-riding priests, police officers and Mormon moms. 7 p.m., GSN

In the name of the law

Looking for an intense police drama to keep you occupied this summer? Try "Gang Related," a new thriller that features Catherine Dent and Jay Karnes, both veterans of the terrific series "The Shield." "Fast and the Furious" writer Chris Morgan is the brains behind the camera. 8 p.m. KMSP, Ch. 9

The last laugh

"Last Comic Standing," the reality show that won't die, returns with its most impressive panel of judges to date. Roseanne Barr, Russell Peters and Keenen Ivory Wayans cast their ballots as the always entertaining JB Smoove takes over hosting duties. 8 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11
