Mob deep
It didn't take "The Godfather" and "Goodfellas" to convince Hollywood that America loves gangsters. TV had proven that with "The Untouchables," and the small screen has reinforced that love affair with "Wiseguy," "The Sopranos" and "Boardwalk Empire." Now comes "Making of the Mob: New York," a docudrama about the real-life roots of organized crime. In the first of an eight-part series, we are introduced to Charles "Lucky" Luciano as he arrives in New York, where he teams up with Meyer Lansky and Bugsy Siegel. The series stars a bunch of unknowns, including Rich Graff, Ian Bell and Jonathan C. Stewart. 9 p.m. Monday, AMC
Make no bones
"Poustinia: The Art of Gendron Jensen" is a portrait of a self-taught artist who lived for many years on a farm near Grand Rapids, Minn. PBS documentarian Kristian Berg, who first shot footage of Jensen for a high school project in 1977, tracked him down at his home and studio in the mountains near Taos, N.M. He's obsessed with animal bones, which he draws in meticulous detail and at huge scale and thinks are akin to religious relics with spiritual meaning. 6:30 p.m. Sunday, TPT, Ch. 2
Hooping it up
Will LeBron James notch another triple double? Will Stephen Curry be on fire, or will he fire bricks? All we know for sure about Game 5 of the NBA Finals (8 p.m. Sunday, KSTP, Ch. 5) is that Matthew Dellavedova is the hardest working shorts-wearing Aussie since AC/DC's Angus Young. Or maybe you'd rather watch our Minnesota Lynx, who are determined to capture their third WNBA title in five years. A good test will come against the Phoenix Mercury, the defending champs who are playing without suspended star Brittney Griner and Diana Taurasi, who is taking the year off. (2 p.m. Sunday, ESPN2)
Selina for President
Will Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Selina Meyer become the first woman elected POTUS? Hillary Clinton will be watching the season finale of "Veep" intently. 9:30 p.m. Sunday, HBO
