He's got the look

It's no surprise that Tim Navarro, a contestant on the new season of "Project Runway," lists Prince as his style icon. That's because the 32-year-old designer was born in Rochester and now resides in Minneapolis. Navarro, who runs a local label with his twin brother, is the sixth local designer to compete on the show. 8 p.m. Lifetime

Goin' to California

No passports are required for a new episode of "The Layover With Anthony Bourdain," in which our amiable host spends 48 hours in Los Angeles looking for great places to eat, besides the sushi spots that seem to be on every corner. Bourdain will stay at the Chateau Marmont, where he will hopefully pay tribute to former rock star guests and trash the joint. 8 p.m. Travel

Punch lines

This week's competition on "Last Comic Standing" has Jeff Ross on hand to mentor contestants as they prepare to roast the highly acerbic Gilbert Gottfried. That event is followed by an equally challenging task: Shooting fish in a barrel. 9 p.m. KARE, Ch. 11
