International cuisineThe three finalists for "Around the World in 80 Plates" (9 p.m. Bravo) wind up in Los Angeles where they try to wow local food critics and special guest Wolfgang Puck. This series could have been so much better if the contestants had traveled the globe in a hot-air balloon.

Before MayberryThe tributes to the late Andy Griffith continue with a four-film marathon that includes 1958's "No Time for Sergeants" (9:15 p.m. TCM), a comedy that most likely laid the groundwork for the future character of Sheriff Andy Taylor and gave the star a chance to get more familiar with an actor named Don Knotts, who would, of course, go on to play Barney Fife.

Strange bedfellowsBizarre booking of the night: Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich as well as Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (10:35 p.m. WCCO, Ch. 11). If the two hit it off, the "Jersey Shore" star promises to name her baby "Newti."
