A round of golf

Wade Boggs, Steve Young and the Backstreet Boys' Brian Littrell get into the swing of things in "The ACE Shootout Celebrity Skills Challenge" (7 p.m., Golf). That's followed by "Feherty" (8 p.m., Golf), in which Larry David explains how the game helps him curb his enthusiasm.

What a country!

Little Big Town hosts "The CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock" (7 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5). The guest list includes Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan and the cast of "Duck Dynasty," which will almost certainly provide duck-call music in the background.

Bedtime stories

"Americans in Bed" (8 p.m., HBO) takes a candid look at how couples stay together without driving each other entirely crazy. This film marks the conclusion of a terrific summer series of documentaries on HBO. Let's hope for another round next year.
