Let's not talk about sex

Carrie Bradshaw gets ready for junior prom in the season finale of "The Carrie Diaries" (7 p.m., WUCW, Ch. 23), the series that Sarah Jessica Parker has called "odd." In Hollywood, that translates into "stupid."

Rescue mission

Alan Alda narrates "50 Children: The Rescue Mission of Mr. and Mrs. Kraus" (8 p.m., HBO), a documentary about a Jewish couple in Philadelphia who rescued children from Nazi-controlled Germany in 1939. First-time filmmaker Steven Pressman does an excellent job of shining a light on a little-known story.

Clearing one's head

Notre Dame's Manti Te'o, a possible future Viking, takes time off from mourning the loss of his fake girlfriend to get gridiron tips from Jon Gruden on "Gruden's QB Camp" (8 p.m., ESPN2).
