Country comforts "A Home for the Holidays With Rascal Flatts" (7 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) shines the spotlight on adoption with the help of "X Factor" finalist Rachel Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Matchbox Twenty and "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips. Previous hosts include Faith Hill and Martina McBride.

The sky's the limit Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic host "The 2012 Miss Universe Competition" (7 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11), live from Las Vegas. Owner Donald Trump promises the proceedings will run smoothly, as long as all participants bring a birth certificate proving they were born in the Milky Way.

Katie's world "The Year With Katie Couric" (8:31 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5) finds daytime TV's latest sensation looking back at the biggest events of 2012, which I can only assume includes her riveting interview with Jessica Simpson about her Weight Watchers diet.
