A little night music

Two very different musical offerings for two very different kind of fans. "Renee Fleming & Dmitri Hvorostovsky: A Musical Odyssey in St. Petersburg" (7 p.m., KTCA, Ch. 2) is a must-see for opera lovers, as two of the most beloved figures in the genre play tourist in Russia, stopping occasionally for performances and vodka shots. "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock" (7 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5) turns three hours over to some of the top artists of the day, including Taylor Swift, Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts and Miranda Lambert, who can do vodka shots with me any time she wants.

Shifting gears

NASCAR, a sport that's never been known for its diversity, attempts to retool its image with "Changing Lanes" (7 p.m., BET), a new series in which minority and female teen drivers attempt to win a spot on a top team. Ludacris hosts.

Little tour on the prairie

"Garrison Keillor: The Man on the Radio in the Red Shoes" (9 p.m., KTCA, Ch. 2) isn't the most insightful documentary, but the 2009 film does give fans a front-row seat to "A Prairie Home Companion" as it hits the road.
