TV critic's picks: Wednesday

"Yo Gabba Gabba" gang snares spotlight

August 17, 2010 at 8:21PM

Yo, yo, man! Last month's TV Critics Association awards ceremony in L.A. was populated by big stars, including Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston and the cast of "Glee." But nobody turned more heads or got more requests for photos than the characters of "Yo Gabba Gabba!" Heck, even Hanks stopped for a photo op. Now Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa get their turn to share the spotlight with the team when it bounces onto "Live With Regis and Kelly" (9 a.m., KSTP, Ch. 5).

Some enchanted evening PBS continues to offer viewers front-row seats to hit musicals with the latest edition of "Live From Lincoln Center" (7 p.m., KTCA, Ch. 2). This time it's the revival of "South Pacific," starring Kelli O'Hara and a fistful of unforgettable songs.

Stone cold Sharon Stone's career hasn't exactly been high-flying in the past decade, but she was at her steely best during a multi-episode arc last season on "Law & Order: SVU" (9 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11). In this repeat, she plays Stabler's former partner who has become a highly successful assistant D.A. Looks like she learned a few things about interrogation from "Basic Instinct."
