Bear necessities

Hamelin had its rat problem: Brisbane, Australia, has its koala crisis. "Cracking the Koala Code" (7 p.m., KTCA, Ch. 2) shows how these cuddly creatures can be quite the nightmare when they take over the streets of an urban area. Where's Koala Dundee when you need him?

Punky Brewster

Paget Brewster is leaving "Criminal Minds" (8 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) -- and this time she means it. The actress, who plays Special Agent Emily Prentiss, tried to depart last season, but producers said her contract tied her to another year. Brewster said she'd like to return to sitcoms. Wait -- "Criminal Minds" isn't a sitcom?

Clobberin' time

"The Avengers" isn't the first film to bring together a band of superheroes. "The Fantastic Four" (8:30 p.m., FMC) got there first. Those who really can't get enough of The Thing can attempt to sit through its terrible sequel, "The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" (6:30 p.m., FMC).
