That infamous day
TV critic's picks: Wednesday 12/7
Pearl Harbor documentary and Andrea Bocelli in Central Park.

Forget the Josh Hartnett-Ben Affleck version of Pearl Harbor and check out "Pearl Harbor: 24 Hours After" (7 p.m., History), a top-notch documentary on how caught off guard we were that fateful day. The stories about Franklin D. Roosevelt's reaction are extraordinary, although I'll admit, he's not quite as hunky as Hartnett.
In the park with Andrea
When I heard about "Andrea Bocelli Live in Central Park" (7 p.m., TPT Life), I thought: Who wants to watch Bocelli taking a walk through a park? Well, turns out the great tenor also warbles a few tunes and gets assists from Tony Bennett and Celine Dion.
Hail Mary
Jerry Rice and Warren Sapp are suiting up for cameos on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (9 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11), but the real all-star is Andre Braugher, who returns in the role of a defense attorney who argues that numerous hits to the head of a former player (Treat Williams) explains why he was with a 14-year-old prostitute. Hey, Vikings, don't get any ideas!
