Will the wolf survive?
"Nature" kicks off its 30th season with "Radioactive Wolves" (7 p.m., KTCA, Ch. 2), a look at how a special breed of canines are being lured into labs, where they are zapped until they get superpowers and can save mankind from future aliens. OK, it's actually about what happens to nature after a nuclear accident, but I'm pretty sure my idea would make a cool Michael Bay movie.
Howard's end
In my will, I have declared that my Archie comic-book collection should go to the Red Cross. If you think that's weird, wait until you see what Howard Hughes wrote in a handwritten will that he allegedly gave to a gas-station attendant. Hughes' death is examined in the season premiere of "The Will: Family Secrets Revealed" (8 p.m., Investigation Discovery). It's preceded by the special "The Will: Outrageous Final Wishes" (7 p.m.).
Here, piggy, piggy
The family that hunts hogs together stays together. That's the premise of the new reality series "American Hoggers" (9 p.m., A&E), which follows the plucky Campbell family as they go after wild boars destroying Texas property. Shockingly, wolves that like to blow down houses are not involved.
