Human touch

In the new series "Touch" (8 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9), Kiefer Sutherland runs around a lot, throws a few punches and saves people from disaster. "24: Part 2"? Not exactly. Yes, it's got a lot of action, but this is a quieter, subtler drama, one in which a lonely widower tries to connect with his emotionally damaged son, who just might have the ability to predict the future. It's too early to know which way this will all go, but color me curious.

Willows in the wind

Catherine Willows is leaving -- and this time she means it. Actress Marg Helgenberger planned on exiting "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (9 p.m. WCCO, Ch. 4), but stuck around (ka-ching!). However, this is being billed as her final episode, with Elisabeth Shue coming on board next month. Expect a few tears to be mixed in with the usual gore.

Hometown blues

Looks like we have a local contestant on the special effects/makeup reality series "Face Off" (9 p.m., Syfy) after all. Or do we? The show's press material says Beki Ingram, who appears to be off to a good start, lives in Crestline, Ohio, and that her hometown is Phoenix. But one early episode pegged Hibbing, Minn., as her hometown. Which one is it? Ingram got back to us via Facebook: Hibbing is where she was born -- and raised by a pack of wolves. I suddenly have a massive headache.
