TV critic's picks: The last dance

The last dance The competition is done, but that never stops "So You Think You Can Dance" (7 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9) from stretching its season finale into a two-hour affair. As the six finalists await their fate, we'll get plenty of highlights and a performance from Adam Lambert, who we hope will grind up against judge Nigel Lythgoe, an event that might make even Mary Murphy speechless.

What's opera, doc? I'll admit that I'd rather watch a marathon of "Hogan's Heroes" than sit through an entire opera, but you have to give props to "Great Performances at the Met" (8 p.m., KTCA, Ch. 2) for regularly offering great fare for those far classier than myself. Kicking off the fourth season: Puccini's "Tosca," in which the title character is forced to give herself up to a dastardly cop to save her boyfriend's life.
