Sunday

Can "The Walking Dead" (8 p.m., AMC) survive without show-runner Frank Darabont? The departure of "The Shawshank Redemption" director is almost as daunting as a troop of zombies, but creator Robert Kirkman promises that the second season will be just as chilling as the first one. Fingers crossed.

Monday

For those who find "Today" and "Good Morning America" too heavy after rolling out of bed, there's "Big Morning Buzz Live" (8 a.m., VH1), a weekday series filled with celebrity gossip, hot topics and other mindless material. Carrie Keagan hosts from the lobby of VH1's headquarters in Times Square.

Tuesday

"Man Up!" (7:30 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5) is yet another new sitcom that seems to believe the American male has lost his mojo. This time around, it's three buddies struggling with their relationships and masculinity. Their mopiness is almost as pathetic as the dialogue. Man overboard!

Wednesday

The family that hunts hogs together stays together. That's the premise of the new reality series "American Hoggers" (9 p.m., A&E), which follows the plucky Campbell family as it goes after wild boars destroying Texas property. Shockingly, wolves that like to blow down houses are not involved.

Thursday

CBS should send David Spade a nice bouquet of flowers -- with a note of apology. First, the network announces it's putting his sitcom in Siberia (a k a Saturday night). Then it's called on to save the day when "How to Be a Gentleman" goes belly up. And that's why "Rules of Engagement" (7:31 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) is getting the cushy post-"Big Bang Theory" slot and has managed to survive for a sixth season.
