Walking on water

Nik Wallenda's attempt to tightrope across Niagara Falls will be telecast during "Megastunts -- Highwire Over Niagara Falls -- Live!" (8 p.m. Friday, KSTP, Ch. 5). The event will be preceded by "Countdown to Niagara: The Greatest Megastunts of All Time" (7 p.m. Friday, KSTP, Ch. 5), which will almost certainly include Arthur Fonzarelli's attempt to jump a shark.

Some kind of blue

It's been 30 years since Brooke Shields and Chris Atkins found themselves stranded on an island with few forms of communications and even fewer clothes. Time for a new generation to follow suit. "Blue Lagoon: The Awakening" (7 p.m. Saturday, Lifetime) isn't quite as racy, but it does feature a cameo from Atkins.

Shake 'n' bake

Ex-"Superman" Dean Cain and former "Vampire Slayer" Kristy Swanson team up for "Operation Cupcake" (7 p.m. Sunday, Hallmark), a movie in which the couple try to run a bakery. In other words, instead of fighting crime, they're fighting high sugar intake.

They came from outer space

The aliens have come out of hibernation, which means it's time for a second season of "Falling Skies" (8 p.m. Sunday, TNT), the action-packed series in which "ER"'s Noah Wyle, pictured, discovers that forces from outer space are even scarier than a raging Peter Benton.
