Parenthood

Mary McCormack returns for the final season of "In Plain Sight" (9 p.m. Friday, USA) -- with baby in tow. Adding motherhood to the tough-as-nails marshal's load is a brilliant touch for a series that could otherwise be getting long in the tooth.

No enemy of the State

Lewis Black may grumble about a lot of things, but Minneapolis isn't one of them. The comic recorded his second CD at Acme Comedy Co. and then chose the Historic State Theatre for his latest special, "Lewis Black: In God We Rust" (9 p.m. Saturday, Epix), taped last May.

Death in the family

Those following the Nicollette Sheridan trial already know that a major character gets killed this week on "Desperate Housewives" (8 p.m. Sunday, KSTP, Ch. 5). We won't spoil the twist here, other than to say it's someone who has been with the series since Day 1. The series' finale will be a two-hour event airing May 13.
