The Vikings are getting some national buzz — the latest coming from ESPN’s John Clayton — as a team that has the potential to surprise next season. June isn’t usually the time a team wants accolades, but now is better than never.



The U.S. has made it to the semifinals of the Women’s World Cup without playing its best match. Either the Americans are saving it for Germany (6 p.m., Ch. 9) or they’re just not that good right now. We’ll find out.
