Vikings fans are still smarting from Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Packers, while Vikings coaches and players are surely trying to move past that game to get ready for their next one vs. Atlanta.

But before we get bogged down too much by the gloom and doom or the Falcons preparation, let's pause for a moment and acknowledge that there was one athlete on the field Sunday not wearing Packers colors that made an impact.

I'm talking, of course, about the swift squirrel that ran onto the field and caused a brief delay during the first quarter. That squirrel ran hard and gave a solid effort.
