The Dodgers' 11-game losing streak is finally over.

Visiting Los Angeles scored four runs in the fourth inning and held on to edge San Francisco 5-3 on Tuesday night, clinching a postseason berth.

Chase Utley hit a solo homer to start the big inning. Corey Seager had a sacrifice fly and Yasiel Puig a two-run double to give the Dodgers a 4-1 lead. After the Giants closed within 4-3 on single runs in the sixth and seventh innings, Justin Turner gave Los Angeles a two-run cushion with an RBI double in the eighth.

San Francisco got three hits in the ninth off reliever Kenley Jansen to load the bases with one out. Jansen then struck out Buster Posey and Nick Hundley to end the game.

Milwaukee 5, Pittsburgh 2: Eric Thames hit his 29th home run, Domingo Santana went 3-for-4 with two RBI and the host Brewers beat the Pirates.

St. Louis 13, Cincinnati 4: Paul DeJong homered, Yadier Molina drove in three runs and the Cardinals beat the visiting Reds. St. Louis has won four in a row.

Chicago 8, New York 3: Kris Bryant hit a three-run homer, Jose Quintana pitched seven effective innings and the host Cubs beat the Mets to end a three-game losing streak.

Philadelphia 9, Miami 8 (15): Nick Williams hit a walk-off, two-out double in the bottom of the 15th inning for the Phillies.

Colorado 4, Arizona 2: Carlos Gonzalez homered twice and the Rockies won their sixth game in a row, beating the host Diamondbacks to close within 3 games of Arizona for the NL's top wild card spot.

American League

Houston 1, Los Angeles 0: Justin Verlander pitched eight innings of one-hit ball as the visiting Astros ended their four-game skid with a victory over the Angels. Yuli Gurriel's second-inning single drove in the only run for Houston.

Kansas City 4, Chicago 3: Brandon Moss gave the host Royals an early lead with a grand slam in the first inning, and rookie Scott Alexander worked out of a ninth-inning jam for the save.

Tampa Bay 2, New York 1: Adeiny Hechavarria hit a tiebreaking home run in the eighth inning off Sonny Gray and the Rays, playing as the home team in a series relocated to the Mets' Citi Field because of Hurricane Irma, beat the Yankees.

Toronto 3, Baltimore 2: Richard Urena singled home the winning run in the ninth inning as the host Blue Jays rallied to beat the Orioles, handing slumping Baltimore its sixth consecutive loss.

Boston 11, Oakland 1: Mookie Betts hit two home runs and a two-run triple and had six RBI to lead the Red Sox past the visiting Athletics.

Seattle 10, Texas 3: Ben Gamel and Kyle Seager hit three-run homers as the Mariners beat the Rangers.
