Mariners end Rangers' win streak

•SEATTLE 3, TEXAS 2: Hisashi Iwakuma followed his no-hitter by limiting Texas to two runs and five hits over seven innings as the Mariners beat the host Rangers. Texas had won five games in a row. All of Seattle's scoring came in the first inning on three extra-base hits, including Seth Smith's 10th home run of the season. Iwakuma gave up a hit to Texas' second batter, a single by Shin-Soo Choo. He retired 12 straight at one point and struck out six while walking one. The righthander no-hit Baltimore 3-0 in Seattle last Wednesday.

•BOSTON 9, CLEVELAND 1: Travis Shaw went 4-for-4, Mookie Betts drove in three runs with a bases-loaded double and the Red Sox beat the visiting Indians. Brock Holt had three hits and two RBI for the Red Sox, who have won five of six and continued a recent offensive surge with 16 hits. Eduardo Rodriguez pitched eight solid innings, allowing one run and six hits.

•HOUSTON 3, TAMPA BAY 2 (10): Marwin Gonzalez's 10th-inning leadoff homer gave the Astros a walk-off victory over the Rays. Tampa Bay led 2-1 in the eighth before an RBI double by Carlos Correa tied it up. Curt Casali homered for the Rays, who lost for the fourth time in five games.

•LOS ANGELES 5, CHICAGO 3: Kole Calhoun and Albert Pujols homered in the first inning against John Danks, and the Angels held on to beat the visiting White Sox.


Florimon's triple gives Pirates win

•PITTSBURGH 9, ARIZONA 8 (15): Former Twin Pedro Florimon, who came into the game as a pinch runner, tripled in the bottom of the 15th to drive in the winning run for the Pirates.

•MIAMI 9, MILWAUKEE 6: Ichiro Suzuki had his first four-hit game in more than two years, and Cole Gillespie drove in three runs to lead the Marlins over the Brewers in Milwaukee.

•SAN FRANCISCO 2, ST. LOUIS 0: Ryan Vogelsong pitched six innings of two-hit ball and ace Madison Bumgarner keyed a seventh-inning rally with his first career pinch hit, helping the Giants beat the host Cardinals.

•WASHINGTON 15, COLORADO 6: Yunel Escobar homered and drove in four runs to help the Nationals end a six-game losing streak with a road victory over the Rockies.

•SAN DIEGO 9, ATLANTA 0: Melvin Upton Jr. hit two two-run homers and had five RBI as the Padres beat the visiting Braves.


Royals top Reds in 13 innings

•KANSAS CITY 3, CINCINNATI 1 (13): Ben Zobrist tied the score with a homer in the ninth inning off Aroldis Chapman and, four innings later, Jarrod Dyson scored the tiebreaking run from first base on pitcher Ryan Mattheus' throwing error as the visiting Royals beat the Reds. Chapman had converted 56 consecutive save opportunities at home.

•N.Y. METS 5, BALTIMORE 3: Jacob deGrom took a four-hitter into the eighth inning, Curtis Granderson hit two solo homers and the Mets edged the host Orioles to stop a three-game losing streak. Baltimore had won four in a row.
