Xavier disrupts Hoyas' offense

Myles Davis scored 19 points in his third start of the season, and visiting Xavier (14-7, 5-4 Big East) held No. 21 Georgetown without a basket for more than 11 minutes in the first half Tuesday night in a 66-53 victory over the Hoyas.

• COWBOYS RIDING HIGH: Guard Phil Forte scored 16 points as host Oklahoma State defeated No. 20 Baylor 64-53. Forte made four three-pointers for the Cowboys (14-6, 4-4 Big 12).

• FRESHMAN LEADS VCU: Freshman Terry Larrier scored 15 points and No. 14 VCU (17-3, 7-0 Atlantic 10) pulled away early in the second half to beat visiting George Washington 72-48 for its 12th consecutive victory.

• DYNAMIC PAIR: Nina Davis had 24 points and 11 rebounds, and Khaijiah Cave had 21 points to lead No. 3 Baylor (19-1, 8-0 Big 12) to an 89-67 victory over host Texas Christian. It was the Lady Bears' 18th victory in a row.
