Today’s trophy tales

Julie Morin, above, caught this 25-inch walleye on Lake Mille Lacs in late July. She caught the fish while trolling using a Lindy rig with a float and leech.

GHOST FISH

Perry Peterson, of Scottsdale, Ariz., said he and Paul Jensen of White Bear Lake had “seen this muskie on six different occasions over a three-year period. It finally made a mistake and we were able to catch the 41-inch muskie in Lake of the Woods, photo and release. Finally, I have proof of the ‘Ghost Fish’ to back up my fishing story!”

FUN FLY CATCH

Keith Dunder, of Golden Valley, was fly fishing for smallmouth bass on the Mississippi River near Monticello, when he caught a river redhorse, estimated to be 22-24 inches, on a streamer.
