Touring green A home with views of Lake Minnetonka wetlands has been tapped as Midwest Living magazine's annual idea home and is open to the public the next three weekends. The three-level carriage-style home, part of the Portico on the Green development, was built by Keith Waters & Associates in partnership with the Green Institute in Minneapolis. Among the green features incorporated in the 4,671-square foot home, according to the magazine: a GreenStar certification from the institute, solar panels for water heating, renewable wood floors, recycled tire driveway pavers and Energy Star appliances, among others. 1-7 p.m. Fridays, noon to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at 2224 Portico Green, Minnetonka. Tickets are $5 at the door. Tickets for the entire Twin Cities Luxury Home Tour -- including this home -- are available for $20 at any Caribou Coffee location or $25 at any tour home. Notes Candice Olson host of HGTV's Divine Design will be at the Mall of America Rotunda for a meet and greet from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. The Canadian interior designer will sign autographs, but won't be selling copies of her book, "Candice Olson On Design."
