A trio of explosive touchdowns led No. 3 Totino-Grace to victory. Gayflor Flomo took the game's opening kickoff 91 yards for a score. He added a 50-yard touchdown reception for the Eagles (5-1) in the third quarter. Backfield mate Ivan Burlak, who lives in the Champlin Park attendance boundary, ran for a 50-yard score on the first play of the fourth quarter. He finished with 165 rushing yards. "At the end of the year, you can usually throw a hoop around a handful of teams that will be in the hunt," Totino-Grace coach Jeff Ferguson said. "Those teams get better. We want to position ourselves to be in that hoop."

Key of the game: The Totino-Grace defense got beat for a touchdown pass from Chad Costello to Marcus Hill in the first quarter, then got tough. The Rebels (3-3) only mustered a field goal the rest of the way.

Quote: "We took a big step because we knew that the sixth game is where we have to dial things up and figure out if we're going to be a state championship team or not." — Ivan Burlak, Totino-Grace running back

Thing to know: Totino-Grace junior Rocky Kreuser made his debut under center. Starting quarterback Kyle Halverson missed the game due to an illness.
