Sitting ducks
"Duck Dynasty" may not rule the roost like it once did, but it has managed to waddle into a 10th season, kicking off with Si going to court over a parking ticket, Sadie checking out colleges and Willie and Korie celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. Controversy — and nationwide interest — appear to be in the rearview mirror.

Arabian nights
"Tyrant," a series that tries to depict Arab culture beyond issues that relate to national security, returns for a third season with Bassam "Barry" Al-Fayeed still trying to guide the fictional Middle East country of Abuddin toward the light. Howard Gordon, best known for "Homeland" and "24," remains one of the show's executive producers.

Swing time
Being crowned "American Tarzan" seems about as glamorous as being named Employee of the Month at DQ, but you wouldn't know it the way the competitors swing across ropes, scale walls and trudge through swamps on a remote Caribbean island in this intensified version of "Survivor." There's not a lot of friction or joviality to be had in this series, but you'll marvel at the inner and outer strength of the participants, who certainly deserve more than an outdated title for their troubles.
