St. Thomas wrapped up its third consecutive unbeaten regular season with a 35-21 victory over St. Olaf in St. Paul on Saturday.
It was the 34th consecutive regular-season victory and 27th in the MIAC for the Tommies, ranked No. 3 in the AFCA Division III poll.
St. Olaf led 7-0 after the first quarter, but the Tommies scored 28 unanswered points in the second and third quarters to take a 28-14 lead midway through the third quarter.
Freshman Brenton Braddock rushed for a career-high 207 yards and a touchdown in 29 carries for the Tommies (10-0, 8-0 MIAC).
Matt Allen caught two touchdown passes and Matt O'Connell threw two TD passes for the Tommies.
Dan Dobson threw three touchdown passes -- two to Stephen Asp -- and Michael Thai rushed for 111 yards for the Oles (7-3, 5-3).
The Tommies, who lost to Wisconsin-Whitewatwer in the national semifinals last season, will be making their fourth consecutive appearance in the Division III playoffs. The 32-team playoffs field will be announced on Sunday.
Augsburg 49, Carleton 24: Ayrton Scott rushed for 145 yards and four TDs and passed for 273 yards and a TD to lead the Auggies (7-3, 5-3) past the Knights (3-7, 1-7) at the Metrodome.
