Today is last day of World of Wheels, RV shows
Today marks the last day for both the World of Wheels and RV shows. Here are the details:
World of Wheels - The 47th annual show fills downtown St. Paul's RiverCentre from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Chip Foose, the award-winning designer of the Discovery Channel's "Overhaulin'," will sign autographs (1-4 p.m.), as will Wolf and Venom of "American Gladiators" (noon-5). The show's cars include Foose's P32 Street Fighter, a tribute to WWII fighter planes that appeared on the cover of "Street Rodder." Super Rod's "Hemi Nation" exhibit, KITT from the new NBC series "Knight Rider," as well as the KITT from the original series, and a full-size version of the animated Mach 5 from "Speed Racer" are also there. More than 300 hot rods, race cars, motorcycles and magazine cover cars are on display. Local cars compete for special awards in "Minnesota's Finest" and "Minnesota's Top 10" categories. Tickets are $13 for adults, $5 for ages 6-12.
RV Show - The 42nd Annual Minneapolis/St. Paul RV, Vacation and Camping Show showcases RVs and other products at the Minneapolis Convention Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You'll find everything from modest $5,000 "pop-up" camping trailers to $400,000 motorhomes with "slide-out" rooms, touch-screen controls and flat-screen TVs. The show annually displays the Upper Midwest's largest collection of RVs under one roof. Attendees will also see lots of camping equipment and can get vacation information about campgrounds, parks and other RV destinations. The comedians/cooks of Ultimate Camp Cooking entertain. Admission is $10 for adults, $4 for ages 6-12.
