JaCoby Jones hit an inside-the-park home run in the seventh inning and the host Detroit Tigers breezed to their fourth victory in a row, 5-1 over the Chicago White Sox on Monday night.
Niko Goodrum homered and had four hits for the Tigers, who handed Chicago its fifth loss in six games. Detroit is 9-5 overall and 4-0 since returning from a four-day layoff created by a postponed series with St. Louis, which had a coronavirus outbreak.
"Everyone's getting better, at least on one thing each day," Goodrum said. "I used those four days to just reflect on what I was doing well and what I can improve on."
Detroit first baseman C.J. Cron exited because of a left knee injury in the fourth inning. White Sox slugger Jose Abreu came out limping after grounding out in the eighth.
Tampa Bay 8, Boston 7: Kevin Kiermaier hit a tiebreaking two-run double in the seventh inning, Manuel Margot had four hits and the Rays beat the host Red Sox.
Seattle 10, Texas 2: Kyle Seager hit a sixth-inning grand slam, Kyle Lewis added a three-run homer and the Mariners beat the host Rangers.

Philadelphia 13, Atlanta 8: Didi Gregorius hit a grand slam, Bryce Harper blasted a three-run shot and the host Phillies beat the Braves, giving Aaron Nola his first victory in nearly a year.
Washington 16, New York 4: Asdrubal Cabrera went 4-for-4 with two homers, two doubles and five RBI, tormenting his old team again as the Nationals routed Steven Matz and the host Mets.
