Some of Thursday night's high school football action, as covered by the Star Tribune preps staff:

No. 2-ranked Wayzata survived 24-21 in double-overtime after Rosemount kicker Brandon Ekeren missed wide left to end the extended season opener.

No. 10 Cretin-Derham Hall was shocked at home 15-12 by Roseville.

Andover scored on its first touch and stayed in rhythm from there in a 42-14 rout of Champlin Park.

Mahtomedi quarterback Colin Baumgard stole the show in the Zephyrs' 22-15 win at Spring Lake Park.
