Randolph's double-double powers Grizzlies

MEMPHIS – Zach Randolph had 15 points and 17 rebounds, Jeff Green added 13 points and the Memphis Grizzlies built an early lead en route to a 99-69 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.

Memphis won its fifth in a row, holding the Nuggets to 11 points in the first quarter and never getting threatened the rest of the way as Randolph recorded his 10th consecutive double-double.

The Grizzlies outrebounded Denver 57-47 and held a 46-42 advantage in the paint. The Nuggets managed to shoot only 33 percent for the night and were 2-for-26 from outside the arc — less than 8 percent.

HIGHLIGHTS

• BATTLE OF THE BRUTAL: Rodney Stuckey scored 22 points and the Indiana Pacers routed the New York Knicks 103-82. The struggling Pacers (17-31) won for only the second time in 10 games. The Knicks (9-38) now have the worst record in the East.

• THE MAGIC WEARS OFF: Jerryd Bayless scored 19 points, Jared Dudley and Khris Middleton had 17 apiece and the Milwaukee Bucks ended a 17-game losing streak in Orlando with a 115-100 victory.
