Aarne Talvitie and Bobby Hampton each scored twice as previously winless Penn State stunned No. 7 Michigan 9-5 on Thursday night in Big Ten hockey.

The Wolverines (5-3, 3-3-0-1) led 4-3 in the second period before the Nittany Lions (1-5) scored four times in 10 minutes to take control. Alex Limoges gave Penn State the lead at 5-4 at 11 minutes, 2 seconds on a power play and, 15 seconds later, Hampton got the eventual winner.

No. 13 Ohio State 4, No. 14 Wisconsin 2: The host Buckeyes (2-3) scored all their goals in the first period. They came from Gustaf Westlund, Travis Treloar, Quinn Preston and Grant Gabriele. The fourth goal was on a power play. Jason Dhooghe and Cole Caufield scored 1:08 apart for the Badgers (4-5, 4-3) in the middle of the second. Tommy Nappier stopped 37 shots for Ohio State. Robbie Beydoun had 13 saves for Wisconsin in the first period and then was replaced by Cameron Rowe, who had 14 saves the rest of the game.

No. 20 Arizona St. 6, No. 16 Notre Dame 3: Matthew Kopperud and Jax Murray each scored twice as the visiting Sun Devils (3-3-1) beat the Fighting Irish (2-3).

The Minnesota State Mankato-Michigan Tech nonconference men's hockey series scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Houghton, Mich., instead will be played at 5 p.m. Sunday and 4 p.m. Monday.
