Grady Meyer, Troy Johnson and Tyler Obermueller are tied for the lead after Tuesday’s second round of the 114th MGA Amateur Championship at Interlachen Country Club in Edina.

Meyer (Windsong Farm), Johnson (Medina CC) and Obermueller (Oak Marsh) each have a two-round total of 145, 5 over par. They hold a one-shot lead over Sam Foust (Edina CC) and Michael Schmitz (the Bridges) and a two-shot edge over Myles Pfingsten (Interlaken) going into Wednesday’s final round.

“I didn’t have what I had [Monday],” Obermueller said after following his opening round of 71 with a 74. “My speeds were a little off on the greens.”

The most dramatic improvement from the first round to the second came from Taylor Sundbom of Ridgeview CC. He shot an 88 in the first round and a 2-under 68 in the second, the only player to shoot under par Tuesday.

• Josh Cinnamo of Lake-ville finished fourth in the F46 shot put at the World Para Athletics Championships in London. Cinnamo, who set the world record in May with a throw of 52 feet, 5 inches, had a top mark of 49-6. China’s Wei Enlong won the event with a throw of 51-4.

• Wes Darvill drilled a three-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth, lifting the Winnipeg Goldeyes over the St. Paul Saints 5-3. Saints righthander Mark Hamburger pitched a complete game, but took his first loss since May 28.
