SURDYK'S FLIGHTS

Find it: In the mall.

Concept: Everything you love about the northeast Minneapolis liquor store packed into a chic airport bar. Check out the "patio," a sleek assembly of tables set out in the middle of the concourse.

You're drinking: The bar has it all, including a well-crafted classic cocktail menu, plus an expertly chosen wine and beer list. Since it's also a wine shop, don't forget to bring a bottle with you on the plane (just don't open it).

Eat this: The various cheese and salami plates are little works of art.

IKE'S ON SUMMIT

Find it: Delta's F Concourse. (The swankier Ike's Food & Cocktails is in the mall.)

Concept: This smaller version of the retro restaurant features a nice partnership with a certain St. Paul brewery.

You're drinking: With six styles of Summit on tap, this is a craft-beer fan's dream. You can order a flight of three -- or go all out with a flight of all six.

Eat this: The "Weekender" Bloody Mary is a meal in a glass -- shrimp, jerky, cheese, olives, pickles, all piled high.

FRENCH MEADOW BAKERY

Find it: In the mall.

Concept: The locavore-loving Lyndale Avenue restaurant gets a colorful update at the airport with an open, airy bar.

You're drinking: The antioxidant martini, made with Cointreau, pomegranate juice and locally made Prairie Organic Vodka.

Eat this: Depending on your hurry, any baked good is a treat, or sit down for the classic veggie burger.
