'Miracle on Christmas Lake'

Continuing: There is a charming story about how Yellow Tree Theatre launched this holiday play several years ago. The Osseo-based troupe had lost the rights to another show and quickly slapped together a play about a small company that had lost the rights to a Christmas play and had to write its own. The homemade "Miracle" became a hit and was repeated for several years. It even birthed a sequel, which became its own success. The original, written by Jessica Lind Peterson, is back this year. Peterson also directs a cast including Ryan Nelson and Debra Berger. (7:30 p.m. Tue.-Sat., 2 p.m. Sun., ends Dec. 29, Yellow Tree Theatre, 320 5th Av. SE, Osseo, $14-$23, 763-493-8733 or www.yellowtreetheatre.com.)
