'IN THE NEXT ROOM'

Opening: Playwright Sarah Ruhl subtitled her work "The Vibrator Play." Ruhl uses the advent of this sexual aid to explore intimacy and inhibitions -- and the shift in medical ideas that took place in the Victorian era. Christina Baldwin portrays a London house marm who investigates the strange buzzing noises coming from the nearby offices where a doctor (John Middleton) treats his patients. Bradley Greenwald, Emily Gunyou-Halaas and Austene Van are also in the Jungle production, directed by Sarah Rasmussen. (8 p.m. Fri.-Sat. $10-$38. Ends Dec. 16. Jungle Theater, 1951 Lyndale Av. S., Mpls. 612-822-7063 or www.jungletheater.com.)
