Theater spotlight: Fringe Festival hit 'Carol and Cotton' is being revived

Opening: Actors Catherine Johnson Justice and Steve Sweere reprise their hit show from the 2012 Minnesota Fringe Festival. The pair depict all the characters in this drama by writer and director James Vculek. "Carol and Cotton" revisits the March 6, 1963, killing of Carol Thompson, a 34-year-old mother of four, at her home in St. Paul's Highland Park neighborhood. Her lawyer husband, T. Eugene "Cotton" Thompson, was convicted and sent to prison for her killing, along with the hit man he hired and the subcontractor the hit man hired. (7:30 p.m. Thu.-Sat., 1 p.m. next Sun. $15. Ends March 10.
