Actors Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang announced the nominees for the 97th Academy Awards. Jacques Audiard's ''Emilia Pérez,'' the Netflix narco-musical about transgender identity, dominated the list with 13 nominations. ''The Brutalist,'' a three-plus hour postwar epic, and ''Wicked,'' a blockbuster adaptation of the Broadway musical, followed behind with 10 nominations each.
