The Districts

9 p.m. • 7th Street Entry • 18-plus • $12

Could Philadelphia's freshest rock band, the Districts, be the Next Big Thing? These Nirvana-inspired youngsters recently made their national TV debut on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" and are venturing on a national tour, leaving impressed critics at each stop. The compelling four-piece recorded its new record, "A Flourish and a Spoil," with inexhaustible producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Sleater-Kinney, Thao and the Get Down Stay Down) at Seedy Underbelly studio in Minneapolis. (John Kuker, owner of Seedy Underbelly and Pachyderm Studio, died earlier this month.) Catch these rising indie rockers while they're still playing an intimate, small-venue show — because that might not be the case for long. Pine Barons opens. Alex Nelson
