The meat of the matter Who knew a cheeseburger could have such power? Robert Downey Jr. credits Burger King with helping him overcome his drug problems. He recounts a trip down the Pacific Coast Highway in 2003, his car "filled with tons of dope," when he stopped at the fast-food joint. "I have to thank Burger King," Downey said. "It was such a disgusting burger I ordered. I thought something really bad was going to happen." He promptly threw his drugs in the ocean and vowed to clean up his act. Downey hints that the Burger King cheeseburger Tony Stark demands in "Iron Man" is a reference to that fateful experience.
