New girl in town Emma Stone ("Zombieland") is officially in as the love interest of the next "Spider-Man" movie. But she won't be recast as redhead Mary Jane Watson -- played by Kirsten Dunst in the previous films -- as once rumored. Instead, she'll be mooning over Peter Parker as his earlier flame, blonde Gwen Stacey. The next Spidey film is a "reboot" -- the Hollywood code word for what happens when the star and director leave a huge franchise -- with Andrew Garfield ("The Social Network") taking over from Tobey Maguire as the Web Slinger and his alter ego and Marc Webb ("(500) Days of Summer") replacing Sam Raimi as director.

The final reel "300" and "Watchmen" director Zack Snyder has been tapped to direct the next "Superman" film. ... Bruce Willis tells MTV that a fifth "Die Hard" film could go into production next year, making it ripe for a 2012 summer release. ... Tim Burton is set to produce the 3-D film "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" after Fox won a big bidding war for the rights to the popular Seth Grahame-Smith book.
